Jayapura City Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Gustav R Urbinas provided food aid to residents of Kampung Mosso, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, Papua, on Saturday morning, which is not far from the RI-Papua Newgini (PNG) border.
"Locations in Mosso Village, Muara Tami District, we have carried out social services in commemoration of the 74th Bhayangkara Day," said AKBP Gustav R Urbinas in Jayapura, Saturday night.
Social Service which was held in the form of distribution of food packages as many as 20 packages containing rice, instant noodles, eggs, cooking oil, granulated sugar and tea bags.
"Earlier, I went to Mosso Village with the Head of Sumda, Kompol Willem Lumi, Kasmas Binek AKP Pieter Kendek and Intel AKP Beddu Rachman, accompanied by Skouw Kapolsubsectorector Iptu Kasrun and their members," he said.
According to him, dozens of food packages were handed over to traditional leaders or Ondoafi Skouw in Mosso village, namely Stanis Tanfa Chilong, who would later be forwarded to their citizens in commemoration of the 74th Bhayangkara Anniversary in 2020 as a concrete manifestation of Polri's concern, especially Jayapura City Police towards citizens. "This is done so that all affected communities can get attention and assistance, especially Mosso Village is adjacent to the RI-PNG border. The Social Service is expected to help alleviate the basic needs of the Mosso Kampung community in dealing with the COVI-19 pandemic situation," he said.
"In the future we will continue to carry out similar activities and other activities with the aim that the National Police be closer to the community," he continued.
