West Papua Oil Palm Must Export Through

West Papua Governor Dominggus Mandacan said he was ready to support the development of palm oil in West Papua to export.

The support was realized through a number of programs including creating a mini CPO factory, a mini factory that would accommodate farmers' corn output and strengthening land certificates to farmers.

The Governor said the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo was also ready to support the development of oil palm in West Papua to export.

So according to him, even though the Covid-19 outbreak crippled various sectors, West Papuan farmers must continue to plant, and rejuvenate palm oil while preparing production volumes to be able to penetrate the international market.

"We all help, support so that the road isa program to improve food security in West Papua," said the governor when handing over 680 certificates to farmers in the Landreform Tanh Retribution Program in Prafi District.
