Astra Papua Group Distributes Assistance to the Government of Papua



Astra Papua Group distributed the second phase of assistance in the form of two ventilators and basic needs units to support the healing process of patients exposed to co-19 and affected communities to the Papua Province through representatives of the Governor of Papua.

The aid was in the form of a ventilator, and food packages consisting of 5 kg of rice, cooking oil, flour, soy sauce, instant noodles, chocolate milk, and granulated sugar.

Astra Papua Group always strives to continue to be committed to providing benefits and developing Together with Indonesia through a social program of ongoing contributions.

In the midst of this crisis, it has become an obligation for Astra to provide support in tackling covid 19. On this occasion Astra, represented by the Astra Papua Group, wanted to provide medical equipment in the form of a ventilator.

Ventilators, which are as breathing apparatus for covid 19 patients, were handed over by 2 units through representatives from Papua Province which were received by Assistant II for the Economy and Welfare of the Regional Secretary of Papua, Drs. Muhammad Musaad, M.Sc.

The assistance of 2 ventilator units is a series of the delivery of 30 ventilator units in total assistance from Astra to the three hospitals that were referred to as handling 19 covid patients in Jakarta on April 27, 2020.

Wendy Tenario as Regional Coordinator of the Astra Papua Group said, we hope that through the help of this ventilator, the hospital and health workers can increase the capacity of patient management and be able to accelerate the handling and recovery of covid patients 19.

"Astra has also delivered assistance up to the fourth stage, valued at Rp 131 billion to help prevent the spread of covid 19 and overcome social impacts for the community," concluded Wendy.
