National Police Distribute 25 Thousand Grocery Packages to Papuans in Jakarta Affected by Covid-19



Head of Public Relations of Polri, Inspector General of Pol. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, S.I.K., M.Sc., and Dirtipidter of the Criminal Investigation Police Brigadier General Pol. Drs. Syahardiantono, M.Sc., attended the Social Service event for the community which was a manifestation of Polri's concern, as well as in commemoration of the Police Academy Alumni (Akpol) birthday of the 1991 Batayon Bhara Daksa force, Jakarta, Monday (07/27/20).

Head of Public Relations of Polri, Inspector General of Pol. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, S.I.K., led direct social service activities to indigenous Papuans in Jakarta who happened to be affected by Covid-19. In his remarks, the Head of Public Relations Kadiv recalled the days of the 1991 Police Academy being inaugurated by President Soeharto.

"29 Years ago, at 08.00 WIB, we (Alumni of the Police Academy 1991) were inaugurated by President Soeharto. Mixed feelings and very happy. And we spread throughout Indonesia. And here we are, all of us here who are alumni of Akpol 1991, "explained Inspector General of Argo Pol.

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the health and economic crisis are factors that must be saved. Departing from there the battalion Bhara Daksa wanted to help the government to ease the burden on the community.

"We want to carry out activities that benefit the community. And we provide this food assistance to the people of Papua in Jakarta. Especially those affected by Covid-19, "explained the Head of Public Relations of the Indonesian National Police.

Inspector General of Police Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono also said that similar activities were also carried out by the National Police at a number of points in Jakarta

"Similar activities were also simultaneously held in North Jakarta and South Jakarta. Why in Jakarta there are in three locations, because there are more people. We want what we have done to be useful both for the wider community, in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic, "explained Inspector General of Police Argo.

Inspector General of Police Argo added, the target recipients of assistance were also diverse, but specifically for the people directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The series of social service activities carried the theme
