Decisive Actions on Misappropriation of Covid-19 Bansos Fund

House of Representatives Commission VIII member Bukhori Yusuf asked the police to take firm action against the perpetrators of the misappropriation of Covid-19 social assistance funds. Investigation of cases requested does not affect the distribution of social assistance.

"Deliberate misuse of social assistance carried out on a self-interest motive must be dealt with firmly," Bukhori said, Friday, July 31, 2020.

The politician from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) supported the Bhayangkara Corps move to investigate the alleged misappropriation of covid-19 social assistance funds. Investigations must be done fairly.

He also requested that the investigation of the alleged misappropriation case not affect the distribution of social assistance co-19. Assistance must still be distributed because it is needed by the community.

"Do not let the investigation of the case be far from its main objective, namely to the assistance of beneficiary families," he said.

The National Police found 102 cases of misuse of co-19 social assistance funds. The deepening was carried out in 20 Regional Police Offices throughout Indonesia.

The fraud case has many motives. Among other things, funding cuts and uneven distribution. Deduction of funds was deliberately carried out by village officials with the intention of the principle of justice for those who did not receive.

There are also those who use social assistance fund cuts for tired money. Then, there is a reduction in the scale of the nine basic food packages and there is no transparency to the public regarding the distribution system and the funds received.

The National Police confirmed the actions of those involved in the misappropriation of the social assistance fund. A number of reasons will not ease the sentence against the perpetrator.
