Regent of Central Mamberamo Regency Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) laid the first stone for the construction of the Church in Kampung Bogomambor, Eragayam District, Mamberamo Tengah on Friday (3/7).

According to the RHP Regent, since being appointed as regent along with Deputy Regent Yonas Kenelak in the first period of 2013 has helped the Church to build the Church, the chassis office and provide a car to support their operations.

The assistance provided to build the Church, the chassis office and the car is not only for the GIDI Church, according to the RHP Regent, but also for several other dedications such as GKI, Catholic and GJRP in Central Mamberamo District.

"This is part of our commitment since being inaugurated, so there are no political matters in it, I have started it at the beginning of the inauguration as regent. And will end the mass of positions later by continuing to do God's work, "he added.

The RHP Regent said, for this year alone, besides helping with the construction of two GIDI Church buildings in Eragayam District, there was also the GKI Church in the Megambilis District and the Catholic Church in the Ilugwa District.

"The construction of the two GIDI Churches in the Eragam District, as well as the GKI Church in Megambilis and the Catholic Church in Ilugwa are fully borne by the local government, after we build it will hand over the keys to the congregations of each Church," he said.

The RHP Regent said that what he did was not only as a regent, but also as a child of the gospel and a large child born in the GIDI Church.

"I was born and raised in the GIDI Church and my congregation was clear, I am a GIDI person not someone else, so I can do God's work," he added.

For this reason, the regents of the two periods asked various parties and congregants not to interpret the assistance for the church to find a political stage, because the elections were still far away.

For him, what was done was so that the congregation who was also the community felt the government was also present for them. One of them is in helping church construction.
