Chief of Police AKBP Gustav R. Urbinas inaugurated the "Roguur" market on Trans Koya Koso Street, Abepura District, Jayapura City, Thursday (2/7/2020).
The official opening of the Papuan mama-mama traditional market after being renovated by Jayapura City Police for seven days.
The chief of police said that the renovation of the Papua mama-mama market was a program and concern from the Jayapura City Police in the context of the 74th Bhayangkara anniversary.
"This is clear evidence and our concern for the community by renovating the Papuan mama market to make it worthwhile to sell," he said.
The Chief of Police also thanked all those who had worked and helped in renovating the mama-mama market.
"This market is located in two jurisdictions namely Abepura Police Station but Muara Tami Police Station is the closest so I hope that ladies and gentlemen can establish good communication with the Muara Tami Police Department," he said.
The Chief of Police also expressed his gratitude to the RT and Koya Koso villagers who were able to receive and cooperate with the police so that this market could be used properly.
"The goal of all of that is good communication with the head of the environment, community leaders, elderly people and the people who live in the Koya Koso village with the police," he hoped.
In addition to inaugurating the Papua mama-mama market, Jayapura City Police Chief also distributed groceries to sellers at the Roggur market and provided a place to wash their hands.
The head of RT 02 RW 04, Darok Kogoya, representing the government and community of Koya Koso thanked the Jayapura City Police Chief and the Muara Tami police chief for being able to see and pay attention to the small community living in Koya Koso Village.
"With the theme today is Polri Peduli in the framework of the 74th Bhayangkara Anniversary so that our market can be occupied properly. Hopefully the National Police will be more victorious and close to the community, "he hoped.
