Papua Provincial Government Launches "RT / RW Tangguh COVID-19" Pilot Project in Jayapura

The launch of the pilot project was officially inaugurated by the Head of the Central COVID-19 Task Force Acceleration Handling Group (GTPP) who is also the Head of BNPB Doni Monardo, marked by the installation of identification on Tangguh RT / RW volunteers in the COVID-19 and beatings of tifa accompanied by Deputy Governor of Papua Klemen Tinal .

Chairperson of the COVID-19 Prevention and Handling Task Force who is also the Head of the Papua Province BPBD Willeam Manderi said the task of volunteers at the Tangguh RT / RW COVID-19 was to provide assistance to the community and also equipment that could be used in the pilot location.

"For the target in Jayapura, there are four RT / RW in three districts and two RT / RW in Jayapura Regency," he said.

According to Willeam, the Tangguh COVID-19 RT / RW pilot project is working with many parties and is expected to reduce the corona virus transmission rate.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 GTPP Team Leader Doni Monardo said that in Papua there were three regencies / cities with relatively high cases, namely Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency and Mimika Regency, where there were 14 other districts included in the green zone.

"Regencies that have not been affected, meaning that up to now there are still no cases. We should be proud because the regents are supported by figures in the regions who are able to maintain the green zone, hopefully this can be maintained for a long time," he said .

While districts and cities with relatively high cases can explain what steps have been taken so that the government can provide maximum support, according to Doni Monardo.
