The Jayapura Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) provides 10 "portable sinks" spread over strategic points in the Jayapura Regency, Papua Province to support the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Entis, the protable sink filling service was also due to the functioning of the water source (intake) owned by the PDAM in Pos 7 Sentani, Jayapura Regency.

"The construction of PDAM reservoirs in Pos 7 Sentani has been completed, which is funded by the central government sourced from the state budget, with a capacity of 85 liters per second and has been used," he said.

He explained seeing the situation and conditions around the Cycloop Mountains region, Jayapura Regency, where the structure of rocks on the mountain, it was feared that sedimentation could go down and regarding the "intake" of water in Pos 7 Sentani.

"For this reason, the PDAM works closely with young men and women around Kampung Sereh to keep the sedimentation of rocks coming into the Post 7 intake," he said.

Specifically for Jayapura Regency in particular, it has worked with youth and girls in Sereh Village to combine a clean-up program for water sources.
