Gome Puncak Jaya Community Supports Special Autonomy to be continued

The issue of Special Autonomy for Papua is currently being discussed by the Papuan people, which raises pros and cons regarding the implementation of Special Autonomy for Papua.

Meanwhile, the Head of Kelanugin Village, Gome District, Puncak Regency, Robert Alom, said that his community desperately needed village funds to carry out village development.

Various development programs have been carried out by the people of Kelanugin Village, both infrastructure programs and human resource development programs.

"We can make it sufficient for the needs of the village community, repair village roads and assist village community agricultural businesses through the empowerment program for village communities," he said.

In addition, he also highlighted the use of Special Autonomy funds so that they can be more targeted so that they can be felt by all elements of society.

Special Autonomy is also considered to be sustainable and there is also a need for an evaluation of the previous implementation of Special Autonomy.

"We want Special Autonomy Volume II to be extended again and it needs evaluation", he said.
