Inauguration of the West Papua MUI Office by the Governor & Deputy Minister of Religion

West Papua Governor Dominggus Mandacan together with the Deputy Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, H Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi, inaugurated the West Papua Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) secretariat office on Jalan Drs Esau Sesa, Sowi Gunung area, Manokrawi, Saturday (21/08/2020)

"West Papua as a province with the highest religious tolerance in Indonesia is inseparable from the cooperation of all governments, religious institutions, and also indigenous peoples' institutions," said the Governor.

The governor asked that the existence of this new office would make MUI PB continue to be a hub for the aspirations of the people, ulamat, and scholars.

The governor also hopes that West Papua can become a home of diversity and miniature religions.
