Mansim Youth Leaders Support the Continuation of Otsus Volume 2

Mansim Youth Leader Abdul Rahman Mansim supports the extension of the special autonomy fund (Otsus) in Papua and West Papua. According to him, the Special Autonomy Fund is very supportive of the community, especially since the allocation is clear for health, education and infrastructure.

"This fund has been felt by our younger siblings who are outside West Papua and abroad. All of this is clear and it cannot be denied that Otsus funds are for the welfare of the nation's future, "he told the media in Arfai, Tuesday, August 18 2020.

Abdul said, there are several things that must be improved by the government, such as equitable development to remote mountains, so that the economy is increasingly vibrant for the community.

He also asked the government to be more transparent in the distribution of special autonomy funds. "Do not lie among us, so that in the future the public will not talk about the referendum issue or leave the Republic of Indonesia which is only done by a handful of individuals," he explained.

For this reason, he hopes that Otsus volume II does not make Papuans hate each other, because of different opinions. "The Special Autonomy Fund is for many people, not just one group who enjoys it," he said.
