After receiving the visit of the Deputy Governor of Papua Klemen Tinal at the Kemenpora Office, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/5/2021), Zainudin said that all parties need not worry because the government has committed to vaccinating athletes, officials and the community around the venue for the creation of PON Papua. safety.

Zainudin admitted that he had coordinated with Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin regarding the availability and implementation of vaccinations, which were confirmed to be carried out before the PON Papua was held.

Meanwhile, Papua Deputy Governor Klemen Tinal ensures that conditions in Papua are safe and conducive. According to him, the armed criminal group (KKB) conflict occurred far from the PON match venue. He also hopes that participants from various regions will not be affected by the news that Papua is not safe.

"If there is information, say the situation looks like Papua is not safe, we want to convey that Papua is safe in relation to PON. The place that took place was safe. We welcome and welcome it well, "said Klemen.

He added that preparations for holding PON in four locations in Papua namely Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency, Merauke and Timika have also been confirmed almost 100 percent, especially the venues and lodging.
