Mimika Health Office prepares 363 health workers for XX Papua 2021 PON

The Mimika Regency Health Office will alert 363 health workers during the implementation of the XX Papua 2021 PON at the Mimika Cluster, next September.

Head of the Health Service, Reynold Rizal Ubra, said that the medical personnel were alerted after the Health Office had mapped several factors.

There are about 10 sports numbers that are considered to have high risk, namely parachuting, running, relaying, basketball, rock climbing, handball, futsal, gliding, degree fighting and judo. Aeromodeling and billiards are sports that are less risky for injury.

The medical personnel will be deployed to venues, inns and other health facilities.

"One venue, an average of 10 medical personnel," he said.

In addition, evacuation engineering when athletes are seriously injured in the arena has been designed. The first is called Reynold, the athlete evacuation route and the placement of a parking area for ambulance transport and for the mini ICU ambulance.

More than that, the Dinkes has also mapped the hospitals that athletes refer to if they experience injuries, such as the Mitra Masyarakat Hospital and the Mimika Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

In addition, since the athletes' arrival to Timika, the Health Office will monitor them. Athletes who come must have been vaccinated and show an alert card or Health Alert Card (HAC) to medical personnel in the field.
