Papua Special Autonomy Is Given for the Welfare of Papuans
Special Autonomy (Otsus) is a special authority recognized and given to the Papua Province to regulate and manage the interests of the local community, according to its own initiative based on the aspirations and basic rights of the Papuan people.
This is stated in law number 21 of 2001, Otsus is also an absolute precondition for the continued development of Papua into a safe and conducive region.
The same thing was conveyed by Saiful SH, who was one of the speakers at the live chat event on Radio Muara Jakarta by telephone by the media crew because they were unable to attend the event.
The event was attended by two speakers, namely Bonnie Mandolang (Chairperson of JPKP Papua), Melanie Osok (CO Founder of Inspirational Young Papua).
"Let's together with all components of our nation to support the Papua Special Autonomy this is the best step and the best policy by President Jokowi. One more thing that must be prioritized regarding the implementation of the Papua Special Autonomy is the need for oversight of the budget so that there are no indications of corruption and other abuse. "Said Saiful.
