This is the origin of the KKB's weapons uncovered
The origins of firearms and ammunition belonging to the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Lamek Taplo are known. Dandrem 172 / Praja Wira Yakhti (PWY) Brigadier General Izak Pangemanan revealed that weapons and ammunition were taken from the wreckage of the MI 17 helicopter that crashed on the Oksibil-Sentani flight in July 2019.
"It is true that the senpi owned by the KKB led by Lamek Tablo came from the MI17 helicopter carrying 12 TNI soldiers," Izak said in Jayapura, Papua, Friday (21/5) as quoted by Antara.
He explained that the bodies of the MI17 crew and helicopters were found and evacuated in February 2020. KKB had taken their weapons. That weapon was used by the KKB when it attacked members of the Security Task Force for Prone Areas (Pamtas) in Serambakon, Tuesday (18/5) night.
At that time, the KKB shot a member who was driving a car, who suddenly broke down at the end of the bridge. As a result of this incident, four personnel were injured.
"A firefight occurred when the vehicles carrying members of Yonif 310 / KK and Infantry Battalion 403 / WP broke down. Some went down to repair and push the car. However, suddenly they were shot, causing a shootout," Izak explained.
He added that the gunshot wounds of the four soldiers were suspected to be due to recoset or reflection from the asphalt. "I've met and asked the victims who are currently still being treated at RST Marthen Indey, Jayapura," Izak explained.
The four injured members were Serka Dian Hardiana and Praka Kuku Ismail from Infantry Battalion 310 / KK, and Serda Sukrisdianto Yonif and Pratu Romi from Yonif 403 / WP.
