KKB Shoots & Sandra Civilians in Bingki, Yahukimo Regency, Papua

On Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 11.05 WIT, located in Bingky Village, Yahukimo Regency, there was a shooting and hostage-taking of civilians (builders) allegedly carried out by KKB.

The incident began on Thursday (24/6/2021) at around 09.00 WIT, based on witness testimony. DK said, PT-Sinama employees carry out daily activities, in this case the construction of the Kali Kuk Bridge Project, Samboga Village, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency.

Then at 11.05 WIT, the victim an. Saiful who is a driver (employee) at PT-Sinama along with other employees using an R4 car (truck) is taking project material in the form of chipped stone (processed stone) from Kali Kuk Camp, Samboga village with the aim of PT. Eradicating Sukamo Village by crossing the Kali I Bridge, Samboga Village, Seradala District.

When crossing the Kali I bridge (first route) in transporting materials from PT Berantas together with 3 (three) other trucks, there was no KKB group, then the driver returned to the Kali I bridge (second route) transporting materials from PT Berantas where the victim using R4 truck was in the rear position.

After crossing the Kali Kuk bridge, from Kali Kuk Camp (workplace) the victim was intercepted by the Kali I KKB group with a total of 30 (thirty) people using sharp tools in the form of machetes, axes, machetes, samurai, and two of the group brought 2 (two) long-barreled firearms, then heard from the leader of the group saying that "Perform Operations and Check them out".

The victim then retreated backwards to turn back towards Camp Kali Kuk along with the sound of a long-barreled shot from the front of the victim which caused the windshield to crack through the back due to being hit by the firearm projectile. Due to this incident, the victim returned to his place of work at Camp PT. The ceremony of Kuk Kampung Bingki time to gather fellow employees and the people of Kampung Bingki.

Exactly at 15.50 WIT, the Yahukimo Police personnel received information via telephone from Br. AD that there has been a shooting against the people of Bingky an. Obadiah Nang performed by KKB the first time.

Meanwhile, the three victims who died on behalf of Suardi, Sudarto and Idin have not yet been identified, while the injured were respectively, Saiful male 47 years old, a resident of Paradiso Dekai street, Yahukimo Regency, suffered from car window shards, Obaja Nang male 35 This year, a resident of Binky Village, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh.

In addition, the perpetrators also took hostage to 4 people who are still being checked by the authorities. while the witnesses who were examined were the initials of DK and AD

The police themselves have visited the crime scene and evacuated the victim, asked for statements from witnesses, and pursued the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).

Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Pol. Drs. Ahmad Musthofa Kamal SH said that the 4 people who were held hostage by KKB were still under further investigation.

The perpetrator is suspected to be the Armed Criminal Group led by Tendius Gwijangge alias tendinus Murib. Currently joint personnel are still conducting investigations and pursuit of the Armed Criminal Group.
