PON Papua Ready to Welcome Contingents from All Over Indonesia

This 20th National Sports Week will be held in Papua Province. A number of preparations are being made by the PON Grand Committee, including preparing a promotional program to enliven this biggest sporting event in the context of the 100-day countdown to XX Papua PON 2021.

The 20th Papua National Sports Week will be held on October 2-15, 2021. This four-year event will feature a total of 37 sports and 56 sports disciplines.

Getting closer to the implementation of PON, a number of preparations continue to be intensified, starting from the preparation of venue infrastructure to promotional programs to introduce PON to all people in Indonesia.

"Incessantly, we PB PON Papua as the organizing committee, continue to try to socialize developments related to the preparation and implementation of PON XX Papua 2021. We are ready to welcome all contingents and people from all over Indonesia in Papua," said Roy Letlora, S.Hut. , MM as Chair II of PB PON XX 2021 Papua in a release, Wednesday (23/6).

To increase public interest in the 20th National Sports Week held in Papua Province, the PON Grand Committee prepared a promotional program titled Pondemi, a countdown of 100 days to XX Papua PON 2021.

The Pondemi program will involve many young Papuan talents and there will be a variety of interesting events and competitions with a total prize of millions of rupiah. Interesting events and competitions with prizes, including the Blogger competition, Virtual Ride & Run, Inspiration Class in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), Stand Up Comedy Pondemi, Torang Show, and Collaboration for Children of the Country.

To open the Pondemi series of events, the PON Grand Committee held a talk show KICK OFF COUNTRY 100 DAYS TO PON XX PAPUA 2021. The event hosted by Nowela Elisabeth Auparay discussed the readiness to organize PON with the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko, Chairman of the Central KONI Marciano Norman , and the Ambassador of PON XX Papua 2021 Boaz Solossa.
