Merauke Military Command 174 Ready to Succeed XX PON 2021

Danrem 174 Merauke Brigadier General Bangun Nawoko said that Korem 174 Merauke is ready to succeed PON XX in 2021 and become a pioneer in efforts to prevent Covid-19 in the Korem 174 Merauke area.

This was conveyed by the Merauke Danrem when accompanying the General Chairman of the Central KONI, Lt. Gen. TNI (ret.) Marciano Norman during a review of the XX PON Venue in the Merauke Regency area, located at the Freegeb Waninggap Sai Gautak Circuit, Tanah Miring District, Kab. Merauke, Papua, Thursday (3/6/2021).

Brigadier General Bangun Nawoko said that until now the Merauke Regency area, which is located at the easternmost tip of Indonesia, is a very conducive area, especially in the field of Kamtibmas.

"So far, the synergy between the TNI-Polri and the Regional Government has been going well, awareness and participation from all components of the community in Kab. Merauke is very good," he said.

Korem 174 Merauke has also prepared facilities and infrastructure in the form of accommodation and transportation to support the implementation of XX PON 2021.

"In addition, Korem 174 Merauke has also carried out socialization to the public to promote the XX PON national event so that during the implementation of PON later it can run safely and smoothly and still comply with the Covid-19 protocol," said Danrem.

Even as an example to the general public, I as Danrem dared to put a slogan on my official official vehicle in the form of an appeal and an invitation to the public to always comply with the Covid-19 Health Protocol.

"To be successful in serving in Papua, you must have the courage to love, respect and respect the dignity of the Indigenous Papuans," concluded the Danrem.

After the visit from the Fregeeb Waninggap Sai Gauled Circuit, the group of the General Chairperson of the Central KONI accompanied by the Merauke 174 Danrem, the Section Heads of Korem and Dandim 1707/Merauke visited the Makorem to see firsthand the facilities and infrastructure that had been prepared by Korem 174 Merauke to support the implementation of PON XX, and then a group photo was taken in front of the Makorem.
