Papuan KKB increasingly brutally shoots bridge workers
The Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) has increasingly brutally shot bridge workers, so far 22 people have died, including TNI-Polri personnel.
KKB Papua is getting more and more crazy on Earth of Cenderawasih by carrying out its actions. Finally, KKB attacked Kali Kupa bridge workers in Bingky Village, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua, on Thursday (24/6/2021).
There were 50 bridge workers who were in disarray to save themselves from the KKB attack. KKB even opened fire at the truck and hit the windshield.
Luckily, there were no casualties as a result of the KKB's brutality. Until now, the Papuan KKB is still carrying out its actions that are disturbing local residents.
As is known, the KKB action has taken many victims. For the year 2021 to June, the death toll due to the KKB has reached 22 including members of the TNI-Polri.
The government has designated the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua as a terrorist organization. It can not be separated because of a number of actions that this group did. They seem to never stop terrorizing and killing.
In fact, the Nemangkawi Task Force noted that during the period from January to June 2021, as many as 22 people died as a result of the actions of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua.
The 22 people who died consisted of 7 members of the TNI, 2 members of the National Police and 13 civilians. Meanwhile, 17 people were injured, with details of 6 members of the TNI, 3 members of the National Police, and 8 civilians.
However, the latest update is that one civilian victim who was shot and injured died. This was conveyed by the Head of the OPS Nemangkawi Public Relations Task Force, Kombes Pol. M Iqbal Al Qudusy in a release, Saturday (26/6/2021).
Iqbal said the Nemangkawi Task Force noted that during the January-June 2021 period, there had been 23 gunshots, 20 shooting disturbances, and 12 other crimes (including burning of residents' houses, school buildings, health centers as well as murder and seizure of weapons) carried out by KKB in Papuans.
During this period, the Nemangkawi Ops Task Force was able to obtain a number of successes and accomplishments of tasks that had a major impact on the existence of the KKB and political criminal groups in dividing the unity and integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia.
"The success and achievement of the tasks that were successfully carried out by the Nemangkawi Ops Task Force, namely in an effort to take firm and measurable action, there were 8 armed criminal groups who died and 11 people were injured.
Meanwhile, the evidence that was successfully secured was in the form of firearms, 5.56 mm caliber ammunition, HT, cellphones, arrows and so on," said Pol Kombes M Iqbal Al Qudusy.
In addition, the Ops Nemangkawi task force managed to arrest 11 people who are members of the weapons and ammunition network, 4 of whom are on the wanted list for people with the initials PK, KS, LW and MT.
The last arrest for the weapons and ammunition network that was captured was a man with the initials RM.
In addition to the KKB, the Nemangkawi Ops Task Force also managed to arrest 8 political criminal groups who spread propaganda and hate speech through social media, one of which had the initials VY and EK.
Not only that, in order to narrow the space for armed criminal groups to plan and carry out their actions, the Nemangkawi Ops Task Force also succeeded in occupying the KKB headquarters in several places including the Kalikopi KKTB headquarters, the Ndugama KKTB headquarters (Yuguru, Alguru and Kalimin) and the Puncak KKTB headquarters. (Wuloni, Duagi, Makki, Mayuberi, Gome, Muara).
The Nemangkawi Ops Task Force has also succeeded in restoring Kamtibmas so that government, economic and social activities of the community can run as they should.
According to Iqbal, in carrying out the tasks of the Nemangkawi Ops Task Force, it does not only take repressive actions (Hard Approch).
Even so, officers also prioritize Preemptive and Preventive Actions (Soft Approch) through several activities such as social services, community service, noken, piajar, and distribution of agricultural, fishery and animal husbandry seeds.
This has in fact proven effective in dealing with armed criminal groups and political criminal groups. A total of 26 people belonging to armed criminal groups surrendered and pledged allegiance to the Republic of Indonesia.
Based on the latest recap, the Nemangkawi Ops Task Force also succeeded in raising 166 Papuan figures and securing 3 firearms, 4 magazines, 87 ammunition and 1 grenade.
For the implementation of the Nemangkawi Operational Task Phase II July 1, 2021, the Papua Regional Police will carry out regional tasks.
