Police Investigate Persons in the Papuan Government Who Transfer Firearms Money to KKB




The police are investigating the names in the Puncak Regional Government, Papua, which are written in a notebook belonging to Ratius Murib alias Neson Murib, a supplier of firearms and ammunition to the armed criminal group (KKB). In the notebook, it was written that the Puncak Regional Government gave Rp 600 million to the Lekagak Telenggen group.

Neson was previously arrested at Mulia Airport, Puncak Jaya Regency on June 14, 2021. "Currently, the involvement of these names is still being investigated," said Spokesperson for the Nemangkawi Task Force, Commissioner Iqbal Alqudusy when contacted on Thursday, June 17, 2021.

Iqbal also ensured that his party would examine all names suspected of being involved in the sale and purchase of firearms and ammunition to this armed group.

"All those suspected of being involved must be examined according to the transfer evidence to the suspect," said Iqbal.

It is known that from buying and selling weapons and ammunition, Neson Murib earned Rp 1.3 billion. When he was arrested, he was found carrying Rp 370 million which was allegedly intended to buy firearms from someone.

"The team will continue to dig up information on sources of funds and remittance activities to buy weapons and ammunition from the suspect Neson Murib," said Iqbal.
