OTSUS IS IMPORTANT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN PAPUA LAND

The head of the Karon LMA, Tambrauw Regency, Yulius Mirino, gave his support for the sustainability of Special Autonomy (Otsus) which has been going on for 20 years in Papua. This was expressed when met at his residence on Monday (5/7/21).

The Special Autonomy policy plays an important role in the development of the Land of Papua, Otsus is still very much needed for Tambrauw Regency, which is currently still a developing area and there is still much to be built. Otsus through Otsus funds is very helpful in the field of development in various sectors, especially the development of human resources which are very important for indigenous Papuans (OAP) in order to improve their standard of living.

“With the continuation of Otsus, we can answer the needs of the people who currently still need Otsus funds. In addition, the benefits of Otsus are not only temporary but long-term which are realized through the development of human resources and health so that they can support other developments such as infrastructure development, "explained Yulius.

He invited all parties to continue to support the Special Autonomy program. So far, Otsus has had very tangible impacts and benefits in all sectors, both in the fields of education, health, economy, quality of human resources, as well as the development of other supporting infrastructure.
