Venue & Infrastructure Supporting the Implementation of PON XX Papua Ready to Use

All venues and supporting infrastructure for PON XX Papua can be used according to the PON implementation schedule.

The Ministry of PUPR ensures that all venues and supporting infrastructure will be used at the XX Papua PON.

According to the schedule for the implementation of the XX Papua PON, all the venues and supporting infrastructure will be used in October 2021.

There are four main venues to carry out PON XX Papua, namely the Aquatic Arena, Istora Papua Bangkit, Cricket Arena, and Indoor and Outdoor Hockey Venues.

The four main venues whose preparations have been completed have also been handed over to the Papua Regional Government.

Meanwhile, there are three additional venues for the XX Papua PON in October, namely the Skate, Rowing and Archery Arena.

The three additional venues which include the Roller Skate, Rowing and Archery Arenas are targeted to be completed in their entirety by 31 July 2021.

The Ministry of PUPR has also completed the arrangement of the Kampung Harapan area which is used as a supporting area for Istora and the Aquatic Venue.

In addition, the Ministry of PUPR has also completed the arrangement of the Doyo Baru area which is used as a supporting area for the Cricket Arena and Outdoor and Indoor Hockey Venues.

A total of 3 of the 15 towers of flats built as athletes' homestays have been completed, and 7 towers are currently under maintenance.

Meanwhile, 5 towers of flats that will also be used as athletes' homestays are still under construction.

A total of 15 towers of flats used as athletes' homestays are reported to have a total capacity of up to 2,170 beds.
