KNPB IS THE SOURCE OF CONFLICT IN PAPUA, THEIR EXISTENCE CANNOT BE ALLOWED

The West Papua National Committee (KNPB) in a statement submitted by Agus Kossay as chairman, said that the organization he brought would not interfere with the implementation of the National Sports Week (PON) which is currently taking place in Papua. In his reasoning, Kossay said that the PON agenda had nothing to do with the mission in his organization
One of the observers and senior Papuan figures, Agustinus R, in his opportunity to respond to the polemics that began to occur in the implementation of the PON. Agustinus highlighted the hoax news that several people who were also known as groups/sympathizers of the KNPB separatist organization tried to spread.

“Their actions are good because they can be limited by security forces, but don't forget that they can create chaos through social media. We all know that the past incident in Wamena that led to the riots started with untrue news,"

He also quoted the name of Ones Suhuniap who is known to be the spokesman for the KNPB separatist organization. According to him, Suhuniap's action had the potential to invite turmoil and security threats.

"He as a spokesman has provided inaccurate information, he can only speak of his dangerous point of view."

Agustinus then asked the security forces to be able to detect threats as early as possible so that the hidden actions carried out by the KNPB could be anticipated immediately. Even Agustinus explained that the existence of the KNPB could be banned because it had threatened the state.

“Just act decisively, people who know that they only cause chaos and chaos cannot be left alone. Peaceful Papua does not need people like KNPB. Disband if necessary, ban all activities,"
