PON XX Confirms Papua as Part of the Republic of Indonesia

Chairman of the Central Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Tono Suratman said that the XX National Sports Week held in Papua was not only an event to show the sports achievements of every region in Indonesia, but the XX PON which was held in Papua wanted to confirm that Papua is a part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Why? because the 34 contingents came to Papua to together with their brothers and sisters in Papua strengthen the unity and integrity of Indonesia in the eyes of the world,” said Tono Suratman.
