Regarding the raising of the BK, the Manokwari Police Chief Orders to Pursue and Arrest the Perpetrators

The Manokwari Resort Police Chief (Kapolres) AKBP Dadang Kurniawan Winjaya, confirmed the raising of the Morning Star flag.

For the incident, the Police Chief then ordered his personnel to investigate who the perpetrators of the flag-raising were.

Had flown for almost an hour, TNI and Polri personnel managed to lower the flag measuring approximately 1 x 1.5 meters.

"We are trying to find out who did it. So far the members are still mapping. It's true that there was a Morning Star flag flying, but we have made efforts to reduce it," explained the Police Chief to the media crew via telephone, Tuesday (19/10/2021).

The police chief confirmed that the perpetrators who raised the Morning Star flag were individuals trying to disrupt the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Thus, it is not justified by law, so the perpetrators must be acted upon.

"Yes, it is clear that those who fly the flag outside the Indonesian flag are people who are opposite us," he concluded.
