Jayapura Papua City Government public services become a model for the Maybrat DPRD

Chairman of the Regional People's Representative Council (DRPD) of Maybrat Regency, West Papua Ferdinando Solossa and his 15 members conducted a comparative study of three main substances within the Jayapura City Government which have become role models for public services.

The three main substances of the comparative study target the regional apparatus organizations of Jayapura City, namely, the Population and Civil Registration Office, the Goods and Services Procurement Agency, and the One Stop Integrated Service (PTST).

Ferdinando Solosa admitted that this comparative study visit from the Jayapura City Government was the second time after the legislative visit of the previous period (2014-2019).

"And for the 2019-2024 period, we agree that we will carry out comparative study activities in Jayapura City," said the Chairman of the Maybrat Regency DPRD through the Jayapura City Government's public relations page, Wednesday.

According to him, the comparative study visit to Jayapura City is due to a number of achievements that have been achieved by the Jayapura City Government, including aspects of public services, governance, management of local revenue (PAD), recording of e-KTP, procurement of goods and services for local government.

"We also recognize that Jayapura City is the capital city of Papua province, which was our parents before we separated from West Papua province," added Ferdinando.

According to Ferdinando, the substantial point of the comparative study of Maybrat Regency legislators is to overcome regional conditions in terms of infrastructure, inadequate human resources, and weak budget support and other tools to support governance.

The comparative study visit of the Chairperson of the DPRD and his entourage was welcomed by the Deputy Mayor of Jayapura, Rustan Saru in the meeting room of the Mayor of Jayapura.

This comparative study moment, according to the Deputy Mayor, Rustan Saru, is an important matter, given that the track record of public services from the Jayapura City Government has won and maintained a number of prestige awards from the central government.

"What is in the city (Jayapura) can be imitated, can be imitated in Maybrat Regency, so that the public service process there can be better, more advanced and transparent," hoped Deputy Mayor Rustan Saru.
