BBKSDA Papua Appreciates the Submission of Protected Animals from the Community



The Papua Natural Resources Conservation Center (BBKSDA) appreciates and welcomes the submission of protected animals by the community.

Head of BBKSDA Papua Edward Simbiring said the proactive attitude of the communities in Jayapura, who had handed over protected animals was a form of concern.
 
"Thank you to all parties who have helped in controlling and supervising the circulation of endemic Papuan wild plants and animals," he said.
 
In addition to the community, Edward also expressed his appreciation to the community, who have taken part in monitoring the circulation of endemic Papuan wildlife.

"This form of synergy needs to be continued and improved in the future, of course we hope that there will be no more illegal acts against endemic Papuan wildlife," he hoped.

According to him, Papua's nature is so rich with flora and fauna, for that it must be protected and protected by all parties, including the community.

Ending his statement, Edward again reminded all parties about the obligation to protect Papua's endemic wildlife, before they become memories.
 
"We take care of nature, then nature will take care of us because we are part of nature," he concluded.
 
On the other hand, the Animal Lovers Community represented by Rian Chandra to Tribun-Papua.com expressed his gratitude for being able to participate in protecting wild animals that are protected by law.

"I'm also happy, because people are starting to have an awareness of handing over the Cenderawasih Birds alive, to the authorities, so they can be released into the wild," he explained.

He also hopes that in the future more people who have the same awareness will help protect the endemic wildlife of Papua, so that everything is safe in their natural habitat.
 
For your information, previously the Papua BBKSDA managed to release 4 animals in the Nyei Toro Pasir VI Forest, Ravenirara Jayapura District.

A total of 4 animals, consisting of 3 Small Yellow Cenderawasih Bird (Paradisaea Minor), and 1 Bright Toowa (Ptilorus Magnificus).

All animals released into their habitat are the result of voluntary submissions from the communities, namely Animal Lovers Jayapura and Rumah Mangrove.
