Deputy Minister of PUPR Targets Trans Papua Wamena-Jayapura Road to Complete in 2023
Deputy Minister of PUPR John Wempi Wetipo targets the construction of the trans-Papua Wamena-Jayapura road to be completed in 2023.
"The Wamena-Jayapura route is approximately 75 kilometers long which will be worked on," said Deputy Minister of PUPR John Wempi in Jayapura, Wednesday (29/11). He explained that from 75 kilometers long, 25 kilometers will be done next year.
"The remaining 50 kilometers will be completed in 2023," he said. Deputy Minister John said the Trans Papua road has connectivity of about 130 kilometers that has not been connected.
"Others are already connected, but there are still those whose quality is below standard," he said.
It is hoped that in the process, the weight will be considered by testing the structure. For your information, the Trans Papua Wamena-Jayapura road is 575 kilometers long.
The boundary between Balai Jayapura and Wamena reaches kilometer 320, to be precise in the Benawa District.
In addition, at kilometers 320 to 575.14 to Wamena is the Wamena Hall area. For its functionality, until 2020, the remaining 75.14 kilometers of trans-paved roads are in the Wamena Hall area.
