Kodam VIII/Kasuari is ready to help the local government and the community build West Papua

Kodam VIII/Kasuari in accordance with its duties is ready to help local governments and communities to develop Papua Land, because caring for it is the same as caring for Indonesia.
 
In addition, the approach is not enough to just dialogue, communicate, coordinate, but also collaborate by executing the current government plans for the progress of the Land of West Papua, said the Commander of the XVIII Military Command (Pangdam)/Casuari Maj. Gen. TNI I Nyoman Cantiasa SE MTr (Han), when he was one of the speakers at the Para-Para Indigenous People event which was held at Swiss-Belhotel Manokwari, West Papua, Wednesday.
 
This activity is a gathering and gathering of all elements in West Papua with the aim of advancing the region.
 
The Military Commander explained that when he was assigned to Papua he was determined to work with the maximum and totality, besides that his responsibility had been appointed as a customary child.
 
"The problem here is how we have to interact with fellow human beings, so I try to explore Papuans," he said.
 
He also said that the other steps at this time were to stay in touch, such as the activities of the para-paras. Because according to him, as a social being, you must always communicate and socialize, even though there may be conflicts during your relationship, that's part of the dynamics.
 
"The TNI works and serves in the Land of Papua based on a law where this law includes War Military Operations in order to maintain security, sovereignty, threats from the invaders," he also said.
 
In addition, the Commander said again, Military Operations Other than War contain ideological, political, economic, social, cultural and defense threats, all of which exist in the community itself.
 
This, according to him, is what underlies the TNI being in Papua, besides that the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa also said that the status in the Papua region is the same as in other regions in Indonesia, so that the operations in Papua are territorial development operations.
 
"That's what underlies me as the Military Commander to convey to all ranks that the current operation is a territorial development operation," he also said.
 
He added that currently he and Forkopimda are trying to be united, because in the West Papua region there is a tradition called one three stone stove, which is in accordance with the theme of the activity, which contains traditional tribes, religions, and the government.
 
"How do we empower the Indigenous Papuans, it's true that the government must side with the community, so that everything here, whether it's the rules, the final regulation must be how the community prospers," said the Pangdam as well.
