Denzipur Jayapura helps restore school facilities after the flood



TNI personnel from the Combat Engineer Detachment (Denzipur) 10/KYD helped restore public facilities affected by floods and landslides, including schools and Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Mts) Darul Ma'arif Numbay, through the Pasar Baru route and the North Jayapura District in Mandala, Jayapura City. , Papua Province, Saturday.

Commander of Denzipur 10/KYD Mayor (Czi) Muhammad Isa Anshory in a media briefing received by ANTARA said his personnel had been at the flood and landslide locations to work together with other elements of society to help residents affected by the disaster.

"What was done during the day was Denzipur 10/KYD personnel securing important documents belonging to Mts Darul Ma'arif Numbay and carrying out cleaning up of garbage carried by the flood to school and madrasa locations," he said.

It was stated that Denzipur Jayapura personnel had cleaned classrooms and school and MTs grounds which were covered with mud.

He explained that all Denzipur 10/KYD personnel would do their best to help flood and landslide victims.

"Our personnel in the field continue to help residents affected by floods and landslides. In fact, we will help with the equipment we have and provide other assistance in the form of drinks and food for residents who are currently affected by natural disasters," he said.

To anticipate the occurrence of aftershocks, he said, the ranks of Denzipur have prepared several tools to support the evacuation process for the community.

As of Saturday evening at 16.00 WIT, some places hit by the flood had receded and residents were still cleaning up the remnants of mud in housing, shops/kiosk businesses, schools, houses of worship and other public facilities, said Muhammad Isa Anshory.
