Not Only Prosecutors, Thousands of TNI/Polri will also be recruited via the Special Autonomy Affirmation Route

The Governor of West Papua, Dominggus Mandacan, said that the acceptance of members of the Indonesian National Police and the TNI through the affirmative route through Special Autonomy (Otsus) would be reopened. There will be thousands of Papuan Orang Asli (OAP) recruited.
 
“There will be acceptance of 1,000 non-commissioned officers and 1,000 OAP enlisted men. In addition to preparing all the requirements, we will also write to the Minister of Defense (Menhan)," said Dominggus in Manokwari, Thursday (6/1/2022).
 
The former Regent of Manokwari for two terms revealed that regarding the acceptance, specifically for Army soldiers, he had received approval from the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa during a working visit to Manokwari, recently.
 
"There has been an agreement, so regarding the financing of education, it will be shared between the provincial and district/city governments throughout West Papua," said Dominggus.
 
In addition to reopening the acceptance of members and soldiers of the Indonesian Army, the Adhyaksa Institute in West Papua will also enliven the Otsus affirmation path by opening the acceptance of prosecutors, with a prepared quota of 250 people.
 
The head of the West Papua High Prosecutor's Office, Wilhelmus Lingitubun, said that the acceptance would be divided into two, namely 200 people specifically for the prosecutor's formation while the rest would fill the administrative formation.

"We in West Papua are indeed very short of human resources (HR). The quantity is still far from what it should be, especially for prosecutors," said Lingitubun.

Previously, the Chairman of the West Papuan People's Council (MRPB), Maxsi Nelson Ahoren, emphasized that in 2022 there will be many acceptances of Otsus affirmations, not only regarding acceptance as members of the National Police/TNI and prosecutors, but also from the Ministry of Politics, Law and Security, Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Finance, to IPDN.

"We have coordinated regarding the addition of the affirmation acceptance. So in addition to the acceptance of the Police, TNI and prosecutors, we also encourage acceptance of Law and Human Rights, Religion, Finance and IPDN quotas more than before," said Maxsi.

“We are also trying to make STPDN stand in West Papua as it is in Papua. Those are some of the cooperation programs that we are pushing for this year," he said.
