OPM Terrorists Are Getting More Violent, TNI Commander General Andika Holds Pre-Duty Training: This Is Quite Important

In the midst of many OPM terrorist threats, the TNI will hold pre-duty training in Papua and West Papua in the near future.

The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, expressed the importance of this.

As is known, the OPM terrorists have become increasingly violent lately. His attack in Maybrat, West Papua resulted in the death of a TNI soldier.

Recently, a Brimob member who is a member of the Cartenz Peace Task Force was seriously injured when he was shot by the OPM in Kiwirok, Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua.

The data collected stated that the victim was identified as Bharada Resi Nugroho. He suffered a gunshot wound to the upper left chest during a gun battle between the Cartenz Peace Task Force and the OPM on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

"The pre-duty training of the Kodim, Lanal, Airbase and Static Pamtas Task Force in the Papua region is quite important," said TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa via YouTube channel, Sunday, January 23, 2022.
 
This was conveyed by the TNI Commander when holding a meeting regarding the plan for training materials for the Army District Military Command (TNI AD), Naval Base Task Force, Air Force Base Task Force and Static Border Security Task Force in the Papua and West Papua Regions.

The pre-duty training is planned to last for 12 days with several basic core materials to focus on the three task forces.

These materials are related to the territorial development of the TNI AD, the development of the maritime potential of the Indonesian Navy and the development of the potential of the Indonesian Air Force's Aerospace.

"So, in the pre-duty training, you will immediately reach the destination point. Once you have pre-assigned, you can no longer be together," he said.

On that occasion, the TNI Commander added additional materials related to the material to be provided, including continuing to change activities by carrying out routines on a regular basis, as well as how to carry out activities in the midst of personnel on duty.
 
In addition, General TNI Andika Perkasa also decided to change the mechanism for distributing training costs to individuals.

Later, all will be transferred directly to the salary bank account of each TNI Task Force soldier on duty by the TNI Finance Center.

Previously, OPM terrorists claimed responsibility for the shooting that killed a TNI member during a gun battle in Maybrat Regency, West Papua Province, Thursday morning, January 20, 2022.
 
"TPNPB-OPM Kodap IV Sorong Raya under the Commander of the Commander Denny Mos and Operations Commander Major Arnoldus Kocu are responsible for shooting and killing one TNI member," said TPNPB-OPM Spokesperson, Sebby Sambom in a written statement.

In that incident, the TNI personnel who died were named Serda Miskel.

He died from a gunshot wound to the right side of the abdomen. Meanwhile, three other TNI personnel also suffered gunshot wounds and were rescued.
