Police Change the Name of Operation for KKB Hunting Papua to Damai Cartenz

The police changed the name of the operation to hunt armed criminal groups (KKB) or Nemangkawi in Papua to Damai Cartenz.

"Yes, it's true to be Peaceful Cartenz. The soft approach is prioritized and improves the welfare of the Papuan people," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Tuesday (11/1/2022).
 
Dedi said that the Damai Cartenz operation will last for six months starting January 25, 2022 when Operation Nemangkawi ends. Later, it will be carried out by acting in a persuasive and preventive manner by prioritizing the intelligence function, the public relations function, and the public relations function with the support of other functions.

On the other hand, the Indonesian National Police has yet to determine the operational police of the KKB in Papua, which was originally called Operation Nemangkawi to Damai Cartenz.
 
"We have not received the operational plan for the time being from the SOP's. If it is there, we will report it," said Police Public Relations Spokesperson, Kombes Pol Hendra Rochmawan to reporters.

Hendra said that his party would still draw up a detailed series of Danai Cartenz operation patterns.

"Of course, it includes an explanation regarding the complete operation plan, yes, regarding personnel issues, infrastructure facilities and budget support. The most important thing is the system and method are there differences from the previous one or not," he said.
