The National Police Chief helps 100 tons of rice to accelerate vaccination

The National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo provided assistance of 100 tons of rice to assist the police in the Papua Regional Police in order to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination.

Upon arrival of the National Police Chief's assistance at the Jayapura port, Friday (31/12), the Deputy Chief of the Papua Police, Brigadier General Eko Rudi Sudarto, accompanied by Karo Ops Kombes Tri Atmodjo Marawasianto.

Karo Ops Papua Police Kombes Tri Atmodjo Marawasianto after checking with Antara, Friday in Jayapura, said that the National Police Chief's assistance would be distributed to Polres whose vaccination rates are still low.

He admitted, the assistance was a form of appreciation from the National Police Chief to the community and health workers in the implementation of vaccinations.

"It is true that the 100 tons of rice will be distributed to Polres in the Papua Regional Police, especially those with low vaccination coverage levels," he said.

KombesTri admitted, there are quite a lot of Polres whose coverage of COVID-19 vaccination is still low, especially in mountainous areas.

When asked about efforts to attract residents to get vaccinated, Kombes Tri admitted that various efforts were made to attract people's interest, including providing vouchers containing basic necessities.

"However, this effort has not been maximized because there are still many areas or police stations whose coverage of the COVID-19 vaccine is still low, including the Lanny Jaya Police, Tolikara, Yahukimo, and Yalimo Police," explained Kombes Tri Atmodjo.
