TNI helps the community to harvest rice on the RI-PNG border



Indonesian Military Pamtas Task Force soldiers-PNG Battalion 711/Rks assist residents of the RI-Papua New Guinea (PNG) border harvesting rice in Skofro Village, East Arso District, Keerom Regency, Papua.

The Commander of the Old Skofro Post, Lt. Inf. Artedi, in a written statement received by ANTARA in Keerom, Thursday, said the activities carried out by the Battalion 711/Rks Task Force were to increase togetherness between personnel and the community, so as to create good communication.
 
"We help from cutting rice to rice milling activities on the land," said Danpos Letda Inf Artedi.
 
Danpos Artedi hopes that this activity can help and motivate farmers to be able to cultivate their fields to the maximum, so that in the future they get maximum results at harvest.
 
"We are trying to improve the welfare of farmers here," said Danpos.

Meanwhile, Thomas, the rice field owner, said he was happy and grateful for the presence of the Indonesian Pamtas Task Force-PNG Infantry Battalion 711/Rks, because in addition to speeding up work, it also gave him a special spirit.

"I hope that this concern and assistance will be a way to increase the rice production of the people here," he said.
