The Papuan representative of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) provided briefing on law and human rights to 2,000 Papuan Regional Police Noken Bintara personnel at nine training centers in Jayapura City.
The head of the Papuan Komnas HAM representative, Frits B.Ramandey, said in a written statement received in Jayapura, Thursday, that the provision of law and human rights for the Papuan Regional Police's Noken Bintara personnel was sufficient to work in their assigned places to serve the community.
The provision of law and human rights, according to Frits Ramandey, is to reflect that a civilized country is not only supported by a strong legal and economic political system, but also builds a civilization of human rights and human values that underlie the governance system of the nation, state and society. .
Admittedly, Frits Ramandey, with this briefing, can prepare and equip all NCO Noken Polda Papua who will carry out tasks in their respective units so that they have reliable capabilities and skills regarding law and human rights.
"Through this briefing, it is hoped that it can support the implementation of duties and responsibilities as members of the National Police," he said.
Frits Ramandey said that apart from being given basic material on law and human rights, he was also given time for dialogue and question and answer regarding the implementation of human rights that apply in Indonesia and internationally.
