850 Papuan Children Pass the Higher Education Affirmation Program, Mostly Medical Test

The Papua Regional Office of Education, Libraries and Archives released the quota for the Affirmation of Higher Education (ADIK) and Affirmation of Secondary Education (ADEM) 2022 programs of 850 people.

Divided into ADIK program 500 people and ADEM 350 people.

Acting Head of the Papua Regional Office of Education, Libraries and Archives, Protasius Lobya hopes that this opportunity can be put to good use.

"Because most of the Papuan children who passed the AdIK program, quite a lot of them have worked in ministries or state-owned enterprises," he explained in Jayapura, Thursday.

Meanwhile, for the selection process, he continued, the selection will be made based on the ability of the students. “This means that it is impossible for our students to make a selection that our students cannot participate in, and then make it look as if they can (pass).

"Moreover, on average they want a medical test, so those who pass must be competent based on their abilities," he asserted.

He added that the largest recruitment program will be carried out in the districts, but on average in areas whose quotas have not been fulfilled this year.

"What is certain is that the ADEM and ADIK programs are national programs that provide extraordinary opportunities for indigenous Papuans to obtain quality secondary education services in schools and universities."

"Fortunately, let's make good use of it, especially in districts whose quotas are difficult to meet," he concluded.
