The reconciliation action towards peaceful Papua took place at several points, namely the Merauke DPRD building and the Libra (Brawijaya Circle).

As an expression of aspirations, the Chairman/Field Coordinator Paskalis Imadawa said, currently we are seeing a process leading to new autonomous regions in the South Papua region is not going well, so we are carrying out reconciliation actions towards peaceful Papua. And in accordance with the 1945 Constitution article 18 paragraph 1 which clearly stipulates that, "The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is divided into provincial regions and provincial regions are divided into regencies and cities," which is regulated in law.

"And it seems that the implementation of the 1945 law article 18 paragraph 1 has started to enter the finishing points, so usually when it is nearing the finishing point there are weaknesses, so we don't wait and hope, but we have to move and voice so that this new autonomous region is born. can be implemented immediately in the South Papua region,” said the Head/Korlap when conveying aspirations at the Merauke DPRD building,).

Furthermore, he said, indeed we all know that there are several districts in Papua that reject DOB in general, but on this occasion, we would like to convey to the central government that in particular the South Papua region which consists of four regencies does not reject DOB, and we remain support the existence of new autonomous regions in the south papua region.

The statement read out at the Merauke DPRD building, namely, "The solidarity of the indigenous peoples of the Anim Ha region supports the formation of new autonomous regions in Papua province, which include the new autonomous regions of South Papua Province, the new autonomous regions of the Central Papua Province and the new autonomous regions of the Papuan Central Mountains Province. Then asked the central government, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the Governor of Papua, the DPRP, the MRP and the Merauke district government, to immediately respond to the aspirations of the people, in order to support the welfare of the Papuan people and handle the socio-political dynamics that are developing in Papua, specifically the Merauke district. Encouraging the central government to remain consistent in the agenda for discussion and implementation of the formation of new autonomous regions in the province of Papua. Requesting the forum of regional heads throughout Papua, to jointly support all forms of policies that have been set by the central government, in this case the division of provinces in Papua. We are in solidarity with the indigenous peoples of the Anim Ha region who fully support the programs and policies, especially in the formation of the DOB PPS, and with this formation it will encourage a positive impact for the people of Papua and there will be equitable development. And the expansion of new autonomous regions is expected to be able to become more advanced in every line of life, so that remote communities will live more prosperously,” Merauke (14/3/22).

The member of the Merauke DPRD from the Gerindra Faction, Moses Y. Kaibu, responded. He said, related to the aspirations that were conveyed in the early hours of the morning, of course, on the way the DPRD was carrying out pioneering attestation activities where this activity was ongoing. The DPRD in Merauke Regency has coordinated with several regencies including the South Papua region, then the aspirations that were conveyed, we and the leadership will try to convey it to the central government. "But we need to know that, as the new autonomous regions in South Papua are getting closer, of course there will be many changes, so I hope that as children of our country we must be committed to maintaining our togetherness so that the native Papuans are not displaced in this land. And personally, I fully support the existence of new autonomous regions in the South Papua region,” he concluded.
