Timika Airport KKP officers socialize the latest e-HAC

The team from the Class III Biak Port Health Office (KKP) on duty at Timika's Mozes Kilangin Airport is now continuing to disseminate changes to the regulation regarding the electronic-Health Alert Card (e-HAC) for domestic air travellers in the area.

Doctor Satria Trysapurwanto, a Biak Class III KKP general practitioner who is on duty at Timika Airport, Friday, said the e-HAC change policy which has been in effect since March 1, 2022, has actually made it easier for travelers so they don't have to bother with validation at the airport or KKP officers.

"Now it's easier. People who want to travel either by airplane, ship or land transportation no longer need to go for validation on the airport computer or to the nearest KKP Office because they can validate themselves one day before departure," said Dr. Satria.

How to do e-HAC validation, he said, is quite easy.

A person who wants to travel after having a vaccine card and has finished carrying out an antigen examination at a local health clinic can directly access the e-HAC application to register.

If it is declared airworthy, then the flightworthiness information listed in the e-HAC application is only shown to officers at the airport, port or departure terminal.

However, if it is declared unfit to fly, then the person concerned must carry out manual validation to the KKP officer.

Regarding the change in the e-HAC arrangement, currently the Biak Class III KKP Team on duty in the Timika area continues to disseminate information to the local community, not only at Mozes Kilangin Airport, Timika, south side managed by UPBU and north side managed by PT AVCO, but also to passengers who want to travel by ship at Pomako Port.

"Now we are still outreaching to the public so that all people know about the latest policy," said Dr. Satria.

Mimika Deputy Regent Johannes Rettob also welcomed the simplification of e-HAC rules to make it easier for the public, especially travelers.

Each traveler, he said, could fill out their own e-HAC from their respective homes to find out whether or not they were fit to fly after completing the antigen examination.

"In the past, someone had to go to the airport or to the KKP for e-HAC validation, now it's no longer complicated like that, each person fills in the e-HAC from home after pocketing the results of the antigen quick test, if it's airworthy then all you have to do is show it to the officer at the time. check in," he said.

He added that once he arrived at the destination airport, the e-HAC was no longer checked by officers. Of course, the trip will be smoother and more comfortable, so people will no longer be in line, even for hours at the initial airport and when they arrive at the destination airport.
