Facilitate Service, Binda Papua Holds Vaccination After Tarawih Prayers at the Mosque

In order to meet the target of achieving COVID-19 vaccination in Papua Province, the Papua Regional State Intelligence Agency (Binda) held a mass vaccination in the month of Ramadan.

Not only in public facilities, such as shopping centers, malls, schools and several other locations, innovations in the implementation of vaccinations were held in mosques in Papua, precisely after the Tarawih prayers.
 
Kabagops Binda Papua Colonel Inf Rachmad Pudji said that the vaccination at the mosque was carried out after the congregation carried out the Tarawih prayer, for example at the Baiturrahim Grand Mosque in Jayapura City which was held on Thursday night (14/4/2022).

"Because when Muslims fast during the day, even though according to the MUI submission, vaccines during fasting are halal and do not break the fast, but to eliminate public doubts, we carry out vaccinations at night, and directly at the mosque, making it easier for worshipers," he explained in a statement. Baiturrahim Grand Mosque, Jayapura City, Thursday night (14/4/2022).

He also explained that currently the achievement of vaccination in Papua Province is still lacking, especially Booster, so that his party is collaborating with health units from Kesdam XVII Cenderawasih, Biddokkes Polda Papua and the Papua Provincial Health Office to boost mass vaccinations, including in mosques.
 
"We are carrying out what the government has mandated to achieve a 70 percent target like other regions in Indonesia, so we are pursuing that target, either in the morning or at night. We hope that the community will also be served to get vaccinated. We serve all stages, both first, second and booster. , he said.

To achieve that target, said Rachmad, during the Holy Month of Ramadan there are at least 5-10 mosques that will be targeted. Technically the same after the Tarawih prayer.

"Around that, yes, we hope that at night we can reach 100 or more residents who are vaccinated, in the afternoon it can be in the thousands. Hopefully this can be achieved and the main thing is that the community is helped," he said.
 
In addition to the Baiturrahim Grand Mosque in Jayapura City, tomorrow the vaccination will be held in Sentani, and also the Jayapura Class II A Penitentiary on April 20.
 
For information, today's Binda Papua Special Jayapura vaccination achievement reached 481 people, and specifically at the Baiturrahim Grand Mosque in Jayapura City it reached 101 people, both in the first, second and booster stages.
