Inaugurating 82 Projects, Regent of Puncak Jaya: Proof of Successful Autonomy

The Regent of Puncak Jaya, Dr. Yuni Wonda, inaugurated 82 development projects that were carried out during the 2018-2021 period. Symbolically, Regent Yuni inaugurated the Regent's Office Asset Building by cutting the ribbon and signing three inscriptions which took place, Tuesday (5/4/2022).

Also present at this event were DPRD chairman Zakaria Telenggen, Puncak Jaya Police Chief AKBP M Ridwan, Dandim 1714/PJ Lt. Col. Inf. Denny Salurerung, Danyon 301/Prabu Kian Santang with Danyon 113/Jaya Sakti, Assistants and Expert Staff and Head of OPD in Puncak Jaya Regency. In his remarks, Regent Yuni acknowledged that all development achievements in Puncak Jaya are evidence of the success of Special Autonomy (Otsus). "Who denies that all development for the community is not the result of Special Autonomy. If it is indeed good, why should we reject it," said Yuni.

Regent Yuni ensured that in the district he leads, aspects of community independence and productivity have progressed, economic activity and trade have crawled up. "I make sure that currently 80 percent of the people of Puncak Jaya are not unemployed," he said.

The chairman of the DPRD, Zakaria Telenggen in his speech expressed his appreciation to the regent and his staff. According to him, the Regent has listened to the public's complaints. Read also: Papuan Indigenous Students are Encouraged to Maximize Special Autonomy
 
"The regent has built public facilities and infrastructure to remote villages, villages and districts. In the future the cooperation between the regional government and the DPRD can be better. I hope we can maintain synergy to build bigger things for the people of Puncak Jaya," said Zakaria .

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary Tumiran said that the 2018-2021 budget absorption was Rp. 234.468 million. With details, from the sources of DAK funds of Rp. 119,997,000,000, DAU of Rp. 88,958,000,000, - and the Special Autonomy Fund of Rp. 25,512,000,000.

"The number of program activities is 82 activities/projects located in the city from Irimuli to Kulirik," said the Regional Secretary.
