DPPAD said 20,511 high school students in Papua passed the national exam
The Department of Education, Libraries and Regional Archives (DPPAD) of Papua Province said as many as 20,511 high school students (SMA) in the area passed the national exam for the 2021/2022 school year.
"Meanwhile, there were 377 students who did not pass the exam. The total number of registered exam participants was 20,888 students," said the Daily Executive Head of the Papua DPPAD Protasius Lobya in Jayapura, Thursday.
He said the students who did not pass were because they did not take the school exam, especially students who were in conflict areas.
According to Protasius, the percentage of graduation in Papua for SMA is 98.92 percent and for Extraordinary High School 100 percent.
"The number of high schools is 245 schools with three study programs, namely science with a total of 10,569 students, social studies 9,876 students, and language 443 students, while the number of special high schools is eight schools with a total of 32 students," he said.
He said the examination was carried out using a computer-based or paper-based face-to-face model.
He added that the graduation of the Package C program level has not been reported by the city or district education offices so far. The number of participants for the Package C exam was 4,188 students.
