AMP DOB Supports Expansion in Papua

Supporting the plan for the expansion of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) in the Papua region, the masses who are members of the Yogyakarta Committee Supporting Student Alliance for DOB (AMP DOB) demonstrated in the Tugu area of Yogyakarta.

Arnold as the action coordinator conveyed the AMP DOB Yogyakarta Committee demonstration as a form of democratization and support for the central government in its efforts to prosper the Papuan people through the plan for the expansion of new autonomous regions and the continuation of Special Autonomy.

He explained that in its action, the Yogyakarta Committee's DOB AMP stated the position;

1. Supporting Special Autonomy Volume II for the welfare of the people in Papua,
2. Support the expansion plan for New Autonomous Regions (DOB) in Papua,
3. Supporting the continuation of the 3 draft Laws on the Expansion of the Land of Papua,
4. Supporting the continuation of the plan for the expansion of provinces in Papua, Southwest Papua, Central Papua and South Papua,
5.Support the development of Polres and Kodim in Kab. Dogiyai for public safety,
6. Support the continuation of the development plan for the Space Airport in Biak and
7.Reject requests for the Right of Self-Determination/Referendum by interest groups.

The crowd unfurled banners and posters that read; AMP DOB Yogyakarta Committee Supports Otsus and the Expansion of New Autonomous Regions in the Papua Region, Yogyakarta Study Students, Supports DOB, DOB for Community Welfare.

The AMP DOB demonstration was carried out peacefully and sympathetically without disturbing the people passing by or doing activities around the Yogyakarta monument.
