DJPb Papua said the contribution of KUR distribution reached Rp1.34 trillion
The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of the Ministry of Finance of the Papua Province stated that the contribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) until the end of the first semester of 2022 based on the business sector reached a value of Rp. 1.34 trillion in Bumi Cenderawasih.
Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury for the Papua province, Burhani AS in Jayapura, Saturday, said various efforts had been made to increase regional economic growth and national security as well as empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through financial support.
"This support is provided by the government from lending to MSMEs, both in the form of KUR loans and Ultra Micro (Umi) loans," he said.
According to Burhani, the realization of the distribution was dominated by the wholesale and retail trade sector with a value of Rp654.23 billion or 48.51 percent.
"With an 'outstanding' value of IDR 571.33 billion and the number reached 11,366 debtors," he said.
He explained that while the performance of Umi's credit distribution until the first semester of 2022 reached Rp3.48 billion with 843 debtors.
"The government continues to strive to provide a stimulus for economic recovery and regional economic growth," he said.
He added that the Papuan economy in the first quarter of 2022 experienced a growth of 13.33 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
