Welcoming the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Acting Governor of Waterpauw Focuses on 2 Important Events in West Papua

Acting Governor of West Papua, Komjen Pol (Purn) Drs Paulus Waterpauw, M.Si explained two important events in welcoming the 77th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence in 2022.

The two important events are the first Nusantara Culinary Tour which will be held in Sanggeng on August 12, 2022. Second, the delivery of 75 tents for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) native Papuans (OAP) and 25 tents for non-OAP SMEs.
 
"There are two important events that will be held on the 77th Indonesian Independence Day, namely on August 12, Nusantara Culinary Tour and the delivery of 75 tents for OAP SMEs and 25 tents for Non OAP," said Waterpauw, Monday 8 August 2022.
 
According to Waterpauw, the 77th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence is a people's party, so the people will take precedence. This is also a sign that all people feel it is important to be present in commemorating Indonesia's Independence Day.

"We see that in offices, settlements, and streets, all people are euphoric to welcome the 77th Republic of Indonesia's Anniversary party. Hopefully, this euphoria will involve all people in various events," he said.

Share the Red and White Flag to the Community
 
On that occasion, Waterpauw also handed over the red and white flag to the Sowi Village Head and the Pasir Putih Village Head witnessed by all the leaders of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) and the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the West Papua Provincial Government.
 
The distribution of the red and white flag in West Papua is part of the success of the declaration of the 10 million red and white distribution movement to enliven the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in 2022.

"This is an order from the President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo) through the Ministry of Home Affairs in commemoration of the 77th Indonesian Independence Day, and today it can only be submitted at the moment of the apple this morning," he said.
