Task Force Ensures South Papua's Development Needs Are Fulfilled
Working Group (Pokja) I The Task Force (Satgas) for the New Autonomous Regions (DOB) continues to ensure that various needs to support the development of South Papua Province are met. This step is needed, especially before the inauguration of the province and the inauguration of the acting governor.
To ensure this need, during this second visit, Pokja I held a meeting with the head of the Merauke Regency Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) and the head of the Papua Province Organizational Bureau at the Merauke Regency BPKAD office, Tuesday (13/9/2022). The Working Group I also reviewed the location of the planned construction of the South Papua Provincial Government complex.
Director of the Synchronization of Regional Government Affairs (SUPD) I of the Directorate General of Regional Development (Bangda) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Edison Siagian, who is a member of Pokja I, said that his arrival was to continue the process that had been carried out by the previous Pokja I group. This is mainly in preparing for the availability of offices, the establishment of regional apparatus organizations (OPD), human resource needs (HR), and so on.
"Therefore, our task in this second wave is to confirm the things that have been agreed in the minutes that have been made by the team that first came," said Edison Siagian in his statement, Wednesday (14/9/2022).
It is known that the Papua Province and four regencies, such as Merauke, Mappi, Asmat, and Boven Digoel Regencies have agreed to provide grant funds to South Papua. The Working Group I will also check the progress of the agreement.
Edison hopes that the escorts carried out can further clarify the fulfillment of the needs of South Papua from various aspects. Thus, the acting governor of South Papua and the work tools that will be formed later can work well.
"Another hope is that all relevant parties can continue to support the development of South Papua Province," said Edison Siagian.
Edison also emphasized various aspects that need to be considered in supporting the development of South Papua, including the preparation of the regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD), regional development plans (RPD), regional government work plans (RKPD), regional spatial plans (RTRW), as well as others.
