Workers killed by KKB employees of CV Doreri Permai



Four road workers who were killed by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) while working on the road linking Moskona in Teluk Bintuni Regency to Maybrat Regency on Thursday (29/9) were known to be employees of CV Doreri Permai.

Head of the Public Works and Public Housing Agency, Yohanis Momot, who was contacted from Manokwari, Saturday, said that he received an order from the Acting Governor of West Papua Paulus Waterpauw to go to Teluk Bintuni Regency to participate in the evacuation process of the victims.

"On the orders of the Governor of West Papua, I went straight to Bintuni to help evacuate the victims. The victims were workers of CV Doreri Permai. The road work was handled by the West Papua PUPR Service," explained Momot.

The bodies of the victims after being evacuated from the scene were immediately taken to the Emergency Installation at Teluk Bintuni Hospital located at Kilometer 7 Bintuni for burial on Friday (30/10) evening.

The bodies of the victims will then be sent to their respective areas of origin.

Until now, the Police are still in the process of identifying the bodies of the victims of the sadistic murder by the KKB.

Momot explained, of the 12 workers, four people were found dead at the scene. Even now, one worker (a mother) who is in charge of cooking the workers' food has not been found.

Another worker was found with serious injuries, while seven others survived after fleeing.

"Workers who suffered serious injuries while being treated at Teluk Bintuni Hospital and seven survivors have arrived in Bintuni," said Momot.

The process of evacuating the dead and survivors was carried out by a joint apparatus led by the Head of the Resort Police and the Dandim of Teluk Bintuni.

"We express our high appreciation to the Police and TNI officers who took swift action to evacuate the victims," said Momot.
