Disdik Biak uses a digitalization system for education services

The Education Office (Disdik) of Biak Numfor Regency, Papua has used a digital system for public services in the field of education so that it can be quickly accessed by the local community.

"Various digital services in the education sector have now been implemented by the Biak education office," said the Head of Teachers and Education Personnel of the Biak Education Office, Japosman Situmorang in Biak, Tuesday.

He said digital services in the education sector such as the school operational assistance information system (BOS), basic education data (Dapodik) and accountability reports for the use of BOS funds with the Arkas application and many other services.

Japosman admitted, by implementing digital system services in the education sector, it was to speed up the process of utilizing schools and to facilitate the supervision of the regional education office organizations on an official basis.

As an example of education services, according to Japosman, the use of school operational assistance funds received by each school can be monitored administratively by the education office because of the digitalization system.

"The request process, the use of BOS funds and the accountability report are carried out digitally with a special application from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology," he said.

For schools and the community, according to Japosman, the digitalization system is a form of public service innovation in the education sector.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Education and Teaching Office of the Mesak Education Office, NS Mandowen, said that the implementation of public services in other fields of education within the Biak Numfor Regency Government in 2022 will build educational facilities for six two-story elementary and junior high school buildings.

"Regent Herry Ario Naap's policy to change the face of Biak Numfor's education is a real form of public service for students and the community," said Mesak.

Mesak admits that education services are carried out by the Biak Numfor Education Office by following the rules and in accordance with minimum service standards.

"The school runs the teaching and learning process as a form of public service according to the lesson hours of each local school," he added.
