Mathius Awoitauw: We Will Launch a Football Academy in Jayapura Regency

Jayapura Regent Mathius Awoitauw will launch a football academy in his area.

The goal is to awaken the potential of an early age in the world of football.
 
This was conveyed by Regent Mathius Awoitauw to Tribun-Papua.com, in Sentani, Friday (12/11/2022).

According to him, an early age must be prepared in Jayapura Regency so that the formation of character in the world of football can develop well.
 
"I focus on early childhood, so that they get used to positive things, so that when they grow up they are already formed," said Mathius Awoitauw.

The reason for forming a football academy is because there are already quite a number of Football Schools (SSB) in Jayapura Regency which have made achievements.
 
"Many SBB players have been recruited by leagues, and everything continues until they get extraordinary achievements," he said.

According to Mathius, football training must be managed professionally.
 
The hope is that the young players will make an extraordinary contribution to the coaches to keep the spirit of training young talents in Jayapura Regency.

"I've had lengthy discussions with all the coaches who manage SSB here, and some have suggested that we create an academy that covers all SSB."

"So in the near future we will launch the Jayapura Regency Football Academy, now it's only time," he concluded.
